An interview with Cody Foss, Kind Works Inc
How do you brighten our community?
Kind Works exists to connect our community with kindness — bringing people together through shared experiences that foster compassion, belonging, and human connection. We teach kindness by providing intentional programs rooted in social-emotional learning, empowering students and community members with practical tools they can use every day. Through art, education, and inclusive community initiatives, we inspire kindness in visible and meaningful ways, creating ripple effects that strengthen our schools, neighborhoods, and workplaces.
Who do you serve in our community?
The entire population, our programs are inclusive and adaptable to include everybody!
What are you most proud of?
That an organizations whose mission is based on teaching kindness exists. I'm also so proud of our volunteers and their belief in kindness.
What was the spark that started your organization?
We were originally formed by Ben's Bells which was founded by Jeannette Mare.
What is one of your future impact goals?
To make this organization sustainable, ensuring that future generations can be impacted by the ripple effect of kindness.
How did you change a life?
By intellectually teaching kindness, then emotionally connecting people to how kindness feels and then repeating and scaling this over and over!!!
Who are your community partners?
Everybody that believes that Kindness is important. We are most represented in schools but we have relationships with multiple organizations and businesses.
